28mm Napolenic British Royal Horse Artillery 'G troop'

Completed this week, this is G troop Royal Horse artillery for my Napoleonic Wargames Campaign, I've given them 6 pounder long guns and a howitzer. The three models represent a six gun battery. I hope to add the horse trains at some point, the 6 pounders were dragged by  teams of six horses, whilst the 9 pounders were pulled by teams of eight horses.

Just prior to Waterloo this battery was upgraded to 9 pounders and the commander temporarily replaced by Captain Mercer writer of the: Journal of the Waterloo Campaign.

Based on plasticard with a fronatge of 60mm and depth of 80mm, the figures are supplied by Perry miniatures, nice clean figures and a joy to paint.

I'm having a lot of trouble taking decent pictures of my work, probably because I'm just using a mobile phone camera and it's getting visibly darker earlier in the day as we head through to autumn.

Also I've finished the 1st Regiment of French Cuirassiers so that will be the next upload hopefully.

I had my eye on these minis for a long time now, I think they maybe sculpted by Paul Hicks, but they were available on the Empress minis website then they dissappeared, eventually I tracked them down to the 'Black Hussar Miniatures' website https://blackhussarminiatures.de/ together with some excellent French Napoleonic engineers and caisson, which I'll pop on the blog when they are finished.

A Hanoverian unit attached to the British Army for the Hundred Days campaign, the detachment of 2 companies was commanded by Captain von Reden comprising 331 officers and men all equipped with muzzle loading rifles, they helped in the defence of Hougoumont during the battle of Waterloo 18th June 1815.

I've seen 'Black Hussar miniatures' offer a 1lb amusette with two crew which I will definetly pick up next time.

Anyhow I've almost finished my World War Two German Late War Wehrmacht Panzer Grenadiers started during the month of May to replace the lot I sold on Ebay a few months ago, pictures to follow.

28mm French generals from Gringo40s.

I was just lazily browsing the web when I came across these minis, really neat 28mm Napoleonics, so I bought a few from Ged at  http://www.gringo40s.com
hidden amongst Gringos 40mm stuff (way too expensive for my wallet, unless I want to keep eating baked beans for Breakfast, Lunch & Tea) is a range of superb 28mm specials namely French Napoleonic personalities, so here are a few after I've splashed some paint on them:

In conclusion: 

I had a lot of fun painting these minis, I'll try to acquire some of Ged's mamelukes sometime in the near future. I've floated the 'Junot' mini on ebay item code: 123796739523 just in case anyone is interested.

Okies I'm supposed to be finishing off my English Civil War figures namely 'The Earl of Essex's Regiment' over the last few weeks, but got a bit distracted by these new shiny figures and some World War Two minis and some old fantasy Goblins, so I've got to knuckle down and get those finished next.
