28mm Napoleonic Bavarian Command & light infantry

This week I got some spare time :)
I managed to finish and photograph the Bavarian High Command, featuring general Wrede, general Deroy and Crown Prince Ludwig, together with the Bavarian light infantry of the 7th battalion, this completes the 4x battalions needed to finish my Bavarian contingent of the Allied army of 1813.

Bavarian command circa the battle of Hanau

All Perry Miniatures figures. Deroy is waving his hat, Ludwig is pondering and Wrede is the figure pointing.

7th Battalion Bavarian Light Infantry

Anyhow after waiting some weeks for some more figures to arrive from 'Perry Miniatures', I have managed to start on my small Dutch contingent for an 1815 campaign, comprising 1x Dutch militia battalion, also I'm hoping to finish my remaining 2x battalions of Nassau infantry and 3x battalions of French line infantry over the Christmas break. Also I have to repair and build new terrain tiles for my battlefields...all in a future blog.

To fund future projects I managed to paint and sell the following minis on Ebay to some fantastic customers:
1st Regiment Prussian Hussar
2nd Regiment Prussian Hussar
5th French Hussars
5th French Hussars
7th Regiment British Hussars 1815
7th Regiment British Hussars 1815
9th Regiment French Chasseur a cheval
12th Regiment French Cuirassier
28th Regiment French Line Infantry at the battle of Waterloo
British Royal Foot Artillery with 9 pounder gun
Anyhow Have a VERY GOOD CHRISTMAS and All the Best for the NEW YEAR.
And see you in 2017
Best Regards, Peter.

  1. Excellent work Peter! Very inspiring! Just a suggestion, but it would be useful if you indexed your periods so one can view the whole project.

  2. Cheers Christopher, I'm not sure how to index the periods to be honest, I'm a blogger noobie really.

  3. First go to

    -blog design
    -then gadgets
-then labels and create the sidebar
-when creating a post on the side will be a labels tab for you to assign a subject/period.

There is also more complete summaries in the internet if you need it.
